do.
The rest of us -- myself at the very top of that list -- don't. For a thousand reasons.
Because we think we can't. Because we're off. Because we're tired. Because we're scared. Because we don't have the right bike ... yet.
But maybe, if we're able to be honest with ourselves for just a moment ... perhaps it's because deep down inside, we believe that trying is simply good enough.
Marissa, does. (She just doesn't like to make a big deal about it.)
Billy Bob, does. (He just doesn't like an audience).
JJ, simply does.
I ... try, my damndest. Like the rest of us.
So after this particular ride, on this special night, with these rare kind of people ... I couldn't help but ask myself what is the REAL difference between those who do and those who try?
I still don't have the answer, but am beginning to believe that the riddle is solved less with an process, and more with a leap.
This, my dear friends, is what a leap looks like to those who dare to take them:
This ... is what they look like to the rest of us. (Be sure to check what's in between the wheels...double-click to enlarge if you have to.)
"Do or do not. There is no try." ~Yoda, circa 1980.
That weird little Grover-talking fucker is right, you know?
Luke had his stupid little rock, well, meet mine. One day I will own this thing. Backwards and forwards. No hesitation. No spotters. No excuses. And no more God damn, God foresaken, God awful trying!!
Until then? I'll remain on the sidelines, wallowing in some strange mix of awe and jealousy ... frustration and inspiration ... cheering on those who Do.
Bravo, mother fuckers ... bravo.

See the path...detailed adjustments of line and control of *sense* of time... begin in your mind....free up mind....too many minds...ONE mind.
